Some of you (Pete, this means YOU) should probably sit down before you read the next line.
Before the Tea Debacle, I had never had loose leaf tea.
Never. Not once. I kid you not. My tea came neatly packaged in little meshy baggies. With a convenient string attached. Or already made, put in a cup and handed to me through a drive-thru window.
I’ve always loved tea. Iced tea is the gas in my engine, and there’s nothing better than a hot cup of tea in the winter. I thought I was living. But. The Tea Debacle has opened my eyes to a whole new world.
In my quest to find the perfect prize to add to the pot, I happened upon a website that I absolutely adore. The Tea Table has approximately 150 different varieties of loose leaf tea, and scads of nifty accessories. (Who knew tea had to be accessorized?!)
When I placed the order for the Debacle prize, I had a question about my order, so I emailed. I had a response within half an hour, and within three hours – HOURS!! – I got shipment confirmation for my order. The order was in my mailbox a mere 3 days later.
The Tea Table website is easy to use and search, even for a neophyte like me who hasn’t a clue what to look for. Each product has a description, you can get samples of stuff you’d like to try, you can use PayPal (big plus for me with unknown online stores), and you can buy by the ounce. I found their prices to be quite reasonable.
I’ve really been enjoying the Rooibus Cream Caramel tea. My only complaint is that it’s not caffeinated so I have to drink it with a handful of uppers. (KIDDING! No, really, I’m kidding. I am.) If you think it looks good, then win the challenge, because that’s one of the varieties that I’ll be sending the winner.
Anyway. Excellent service. Quick shipping. Good prices. Now go buy some tea and tell her I sent you. Maybe she’ll hook me up with a packet of Rooibus Cream Caramel for my efforts.
